Christmas Cookies in July

“'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse; the stockings were hung by the chimney with care, in hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there.” Merry Christmas in July! To celebrate, we have a delicious dairy-free Christmas cookie recipe for you to try. Pack these cookies for your next picnic, or munch on them next to the pool while you tan; we promise if you try these cookies you’ll be a huge fan! 

Cookie ingredients

  • ½ cup of Vegan Butter 
  • 1 cup of Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 2 ⅔ cups of All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • ½ tsp Baking Soda
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • ¼ tsp Nutmeg
  • 1 container of The Dairy Free Co. Dollop Lama™


  • Preheat oven to 425 
  • Lightly spray a baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray
  • Blend together butter and sugar, then beat in egg and vanilla until creamy 
  • Stir in Dollop Lama until combined
  • In a separate bowl combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and nutmeg
  • Slowly add dry ingredients to wet ingredients
  • Place dough on a floured surface and roll out to about 1/4th of an inch 
  • Cut rolled dough out with cookie cutter and place onto the cookie sheet
  • (optional) top with sprinkles or sugar
  • Bake for 7-10 minutes or until the cookies are a golden brown on the bottom 
  • Place on a rack to cool 
  • Optional (top with dairy-free frosting)
